Vacuum cleaners or robot cleaners once or twice a week

To use carpet cleaner (available online or in supermarkets), spray the carpet cleaner onto the stain and wipe it off with a semi-dry towel
Waterproof rugs rarely need this, because they can be wiped clean with tissue or towels
